<p>I found it interesting that survey takers welcomed Idle Screen Advertising over the other forms (i.e. banner ads, LBS, video sponsorship). <a href="http://www.mobiadnews.com/?p=2054" target="_blank">Read portion of post here</a>.</p>
<p>While <a href="http://celltick.com" target="_blank">Celltick</a> is probably the best known Idle Screen vendor in Europe, here in the U.S. I would venture to say it would be (&#8230;..). Right. A specific vendor doesn&#8217;t necessarily come to mind right away because to my knowledge the U.S. hasn&#8217;t had a large Idle Screen trial at a Tier 1 Carrier other than the limited test conducted by then Cingular with the Motorola-backed Screen3 technology. If my memory serves me well, this late 2005 test was only available on a single mainstream handset (Motorola V557) and I don&#8217;t remember seeing any advertisements &#8211; only news and weather. ANYONE HAVE AN UPDATE ON THIS?  <img class="alignright" style="float: right;" src="http://www.textually.org/textually/archives/images/set2/moto_screen3.jpg" alt="" width="161" height="250" /></p>
